Pride

Pride Northwest is home to the Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade, one of the largest Pride celebrations on the West Coast! But our Pride initiatives extend far beyond the Waterfront Festival and Parade, with programs like the Portland Gay Prides Pageant and a range of Official Pride Events, celebrating and uplifting the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

LGBTQIA2S+ Youth Community Building Program

We are committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for LGBTQ2SIA+ youth through a growing set of programs and partnerships.

Our youth-focused efforts include community celebrations, creative expression, leadership opportunities, advocacy, collaborations and more!

Advocacy and Education

Advocacy and education are at the forefront of all the work that we do at Pride Northwest. We are a founding member of the LGBTQIA2S+ Housing Collaborative, and active member of the Welcome Home Coalition, while also working to provide resources, corporate training and more.

Our growing advocacy and education initiatives also aim to ensure that Pride Northwest efforts reflect the full diversity of our community, centering marginalized voices and improving access for all.

Community Resilience Program

In its role as an intermediary nonprofit organization, Pride Northwest supports and serves as a connector between resources and grassroots initiatives and advocates, who are working on the ground to address (and meet) community needs. This support includes funding, technical assistance, capacity-building, networking opportunities, and more to support those organizations in maximizing their impact, intentionally working to center the perspectives and efforts of Black, Indigenous and Queer People of Color community organizers. 

Key initiatives include: Housing and Food Insecurity, Fiscal and Organizational Sponsorship, Crisis Planning and Response, Pride Elder Connections, The Black Rainbow Initiative, Powerfully Pink and so much more!
