The Portland Pride Parade Goes Green!!!
Pride 2010 is the third pride parade that will be carbon-neutral thanks to Portland General Electric (PGE), which is purchasing more than enough carbon offsets from the Climate Trust of Oregon to offset carbon emissions produced by vehicles in this year's pride parade. All parade applications received by May 1st, will have their lineup position determined by lottery. Parade applications received after May 1st will be placed in the lineup on a first come, first served basis. The parade line-up will be posted on our website on June 1st.
To help keep our parade flowing we ask that each contingent have 2 people acting as designated monitors for your group. Besides identifying the contingent, these folks will try to stay close to the group ahead.
