By registering for the 2012 Pride Parade, your business or organization acknowledges and agrees to parade rules and procedures:

• Each registration is for one specific business or organization. Only one organizational name and description will be allowed to represent the entire contingent. All signage and banners must be for your organization only.
• Due to insurance liability and the possibility of city clean-up costs, your contingent agrees not to distribute or throw literature, products, toys or materials while participating in the parade. Those who violate this policy are subject to a fine from Pride Northwest to recover cleanup costs associated with such material. Video and staff/volunteer surveillance, among other means, will be used to verify compliance. Your group agrees to carry your trash with you and dispose of it at the festival site, not along the parade route. Nothing may be sold and donations cannot be solicited by any participant along the parade route or formation area.
• All vehicles in your contingent must be insured and designated drivers must comply fully with local and state laws. Proof of driver’s license and insurance must be furnished upon demand by Pride Northwest Staff.
• Pride Northwest and its agents reserve the right to ask any participant to alter his or her behavior, dress, or placard if it appears to be a hindrance to the progress of the parade, to place other participants or spectators in physical danger or to oppress, demean, or stereotype any person because of gender, race, age, physical differences, mental capability, religious convictions, political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender presentation or differing economic resources and means. All members of your contingent must comply with all local and state laws regarding nudity and public decency. Non-compliance may result in your entire contingent’s exclusion from the parade without refund.
• Alcohol and illegal drugs will not be allowed at the formation site or along the parade route. Failure to comply will result in removal from the parade and possible suspension from future Pride NW events.
• All parade participants are responsible for any and all acts or omissions on their part or on the part of their agents, volunteers and/or employees, which may result in damage to themselves or other parties and/or property. Registrant(s) specifically agrees to hold the City of Portland and Pride Northwest, Inc. free and harmless from any and all claims arising out of any such acts or omissions.
